Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Barista and Shift Manager to join our team in the food industry. The Shift Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and manage staff during their shift.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate team members' activities to ensure efficient operations
- Train and onboard new employees on company policies and procedures
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- Manage cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and serving when needed
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues promptly
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
Skills:
- Proficiency in food safety standards and regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Experience in the food industry is preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and operating a cash register
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus
- Basic math skills for inventory management and sales tracking
