Boutique legal staffing and placement agency with offices in Los Angeles and Valencia, California is seeking a Junior Full-Desk Recruiting/Business Development Associate. This is a remote position, but applicants do need to live in California (preferably Los Angeles, Ventura, Irvine or surrounding areas) Duties include working with sophisticated law firms and corporate legal departments to assist them in hiring attorneys, paralegals and support staff on a contract and full-time basis.
Individual must be HIGHLY self-motivated and a self-starter. An entrepreneurial spirit is required, together with tenacity and strong sales acumen. Previous sales and/or legal industry experience is a plus.
Day to day duties include outbound calls and outreach to potential candidates (attorneys, paralegals and support staff), sales outreach to law firms and corporate legal departments to uncover legal needs, research, candidate reference checks, co-ordination of interviews, resume review and coaching, assembling teams of attorneys for document review projects, matching candidates with current in-house requisitions. No two days are the same in the legal recruiting world. Previous legal industry experience is preferred, but not a must. J.D.s seeking alternative legal careers often do well in recruitment roles, as such, Attorneys/J.D.s are welcome to apply. Minimum requirements are 2+ years of work experience in sales, insurance, or a legal work environment. Firm has a small, close-knit team that interacts constantly on a day-to-day basis, so the ability to get along with others and work as a team is a MUST. The firm offers ongoing training and effective recruitment tools.
Duties Include (but are not limited to):
· Sourcing candidates from proprietary database and other platforms.
· Cold calls to attorneys, paralegals and support staff daily. Developing business is an important aspect of this role.
· Negotiating salary and benefit packages on behalf of employees
· Conducting preliminary telephone interviews.
· Conducting ZOOM/FACETIME interviews.
· Research.
· Business Development Calls to law firms and corporate legal departments (territory assigned).
· Reference checks.
· Other Administrative duties to assist senior recruiters.
Other:
This is essentially a SALES role and will be driven by in-house (measured) daily and weekly metrics based on industry formula.

Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) is required to handle the highs and lows of the recruitment world - it's a roller coaster ride, and not for the faint hearted!

Qualifications:
· BA/BS Degree
· JD or Paralegal Certificate/Experience (definite plus). Those seeking alternative legal careers can do very well.
· 2+ Years of previous administrative, legal, insurance, sales; telephone/retail sales experience is a plus
· MS Office Suite
· Strong communication (both verbal and written) are an absolute must. Writing samples will be requested.
Highly Self-Motivated do very well with the company.
PLEASE NOTE: Earning Potential (BASE + MONTHY COMMISSIONS)
· YEAR 1: 65-80K (average producer) (possible to do more during first year!!)
· YEAR 2: 85-100K+ (average producer)
· YEAR 3: 100,000K+ (average producer). Management Track Applicants 130,000K+
Please note that the above compensation INCLUDES base and commission. There is a nominal base salary + commission. Earning potential is HEAVILY based on a generous commission plan. It's entirely possible to make 75K+ within the first year and move up from there. As the company grows, there is plenty of room for growth and management opportunities, which in turn lead to higher earning potential.
