Job Summary:
Under the leadership of the Lead Physical Therapist, the Physiology Technician is responsible for guiding and working with clients on their strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility programs.
Essential Functions:
● Works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team to provide white-glove healthcare services to an exclusive clientele.
● While the Physiology technician reports to the Lead Physical Therapist, they will also take direction from the teams other exercise physiologists on staff.
● Must be an effective ad pro-active communicator in a team setting. Guide clients in exercise training session programs administered by Exercise Physiologists consisting of strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility.
● Guide daily Group Training exercise sessions for the clients.
● Proficient in implementing exercise programs and working with clients.
● Proficient at addressing muscular compensations through corrective exercises in real time.
● Will be scheduled for treatment sessions to work directly with clients on their gait, strength, endurance, balance, flexibility, and dual-task ability.
● Assist with exercise prescription and exercise program development.
● Provides support and resolution for any inquiries from hyperbaric patients including investigating and resolving complaints.
●Assist Physiologist with monitoring client wearable data, helping with device troubleshooting, and device education.
● Foster an organizational culture based on exceeding customer expectations every step of the way and securing long-term client relations while maintaining trust and credibility.
- Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job role.
● May perform other duties/projects as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s in Exercise Science or related field required.
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification (with AED).
Experience:
- 3years of experience working with clients on movement / exercise. Specifically, their gait, strength, endurance, balance, and/or flexibility.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Willingness to study and specialize in novel health evaluation and training platforms.
- High social and emotional skills.
- Sensitive to patient's needs and difficulties.
- Technically agile and enthusiastic about new technologies.
- Skilled in providing excellent customer service and support.
- Ensure maintenance of privacy and confidentiality in relation to client information and progress.
- Must demonstrate efficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Must be self-motivated, flexible, and able to demonstrate strong time management skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, & Outlook); must be able to function in a high-tech environment; previous and current use of an Electronic Medical Record (“EMR”) is essential.
