As a System Engineer, you will work independently as well as on a team to provide operational support for Kwik Trip’s systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design, administration and support of the Company’s server and application environments.
- Installation, maintenance, and optimization of all servers managed by Network Services.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute upgrades, migrations, conversions and implementations of software and hardware solutions.
- Provide 2nd level support within the System Administration team for escalated incidents and problems.
- Design, Maintain and support Kwik Trip’s Active Directory Forests and Domains.
- Conduct research to determine appropriate software and hardware solutions to support business initiatives.
- Utilize Kwik Trip’s incident, problem, and change management tools to manage ITIL processes.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Investigate and diagnose system-related issues, providing timely resolutions.
You’ll need to have:
- Associate degree in Information Systems/Network Systems Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience related to server and infrastructure management, with specific focus on the setup and maintenance of servers and applications within a virtual environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems
- Experience with Office 365 administration (including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft Group Policy management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Ability to multi-task and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well independently as well as on a team.
- Ability to meet project and department deadlines.
Even better if you have:
- Knowledge or experience with Linux server operating systems
- Knowledge or experience with Ansible and/or other automation tools
- Knowledge or experience with incident management platforms (e.g., Service Now or Jira)
- Knowledge or experience with VMware enterprise virtualization products
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours with rotating on-call responsibilities. Weekend and non-business hours work may be required as needed. This position requires a minimum of 50% onsite schedule.
