Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, assists in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of resident within the framework of the nursing process. Works within the philosophy, purposes, policies and standards of both the Facility and Nursing Department. The incumbent performs nursing procedures for which preparation as Licensed Practical Nurse has provided the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
Qualifications:
At least one year Long Term Care or hospital experience in resident/patient care services.
- Individual must be able to service residents with a wide range of disabilities, including those with critical and complex diagnosis.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must meet sensory requirements of speech, touch, vision, and hearing to normal with corrections as applicable.
- Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be creative effective and have good observation and analytical skills.
EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
