Looking for a licensed mental health professional to join our team! We are a 45 bed, co-ed, residential treatment facility that offers both high and medium intensity treatment services. This position is full time, Monday - Friday from 8:00-4:30pm. Responsibilities include treatment planning, providing diagnostic assessments, group education, individual counseling sessions, and team meeting/collaboration. All services provided are for independent adults age 18-80 with dual diagnosis of substance use disorder and mental illness.
Additional duties:
Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
Evaluate clients' mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, tests and collaboration with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
Develop and implement treatment plans treatment plans based on DA, clinical experience and knowledge.
Counsel clients individually and in group sessions to assist them in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life and making changes.
Act as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives and help them develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
Modify treatment services and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.
Meet with families, probation officers and other interested parties to exchange necessary information during the treatment process.
Submit paperwork or electronic health records in a timely fashion.
Maintain all professional licensure(s) required and provide prompt cooperation with third party credentialing for billing purposes.
Supervise other staff therapists for licensure as assigned and supervise interns as requested (and if qualified).
Maintain up-to-date client and program records as required by Mn Statutes.
Conduct activities related to compliance with federal and state laws related to mandated reporting, HIPPA and the Data Privacy Act.
Other duties assigned by supervisor or agency director.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology, Independent licensure as a LMFT, LICSW or LPCC. Ability to supervise a plus. LPC's and LGSW's are also encouraged to apply.
Prefer candidate with experience in providing diagnostic assessments and therapy services in a multi-cultural setting.
Must maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency.
Must be free from alcohol and chemical dependency disorders and must maintain this freedom for the full duration of your employment with this agency. If formally chemically dependent, must have two years of freedom from alcohol and drug dependency preceding employment with this agency.
Must be able to work as a team member and cooperatively with County, community or Tribal programs.
Must have reliable means of transportation and clean driving record.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills and good organizational skills.
Must maintain agency, coworker, and client confidentiality and abide by the Data Privacy Act and the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act.
Must successfully pass a drug and/or alcohol test.
Must successfully pass a Minnesota DHS Applicant Background Study.
