Financial Advisor-Financial Planner
We are looking to hire a financial advisor that specializes in high level financial planning. The primary functions of the job are to be able to develop comprehensive, thought-out, correct financial plans, coordinate recommendations with the other divisions of the firm, and meet with the clients to discuss. Financial plans will be required to be highly detailed and very thorough. The financial plan is the keystone to our process and it is vital that the candidate's financial planning skills are elite, encompassing both cash flow and goals based planning. Compensation starts with a base salary, ratcheting up as we move clients under your responsibility.

As an Advisor, you will work in a client-focused, team-centered environment to support the firm's financial planning and business development efforts. The position has a generous salary plus opportunity for incentive pay not centered around sales.
Imperium Wealth Management is a fee-only wealth management firm that provides comprehensive advisory and investment services as well as tax preparation and planning. Our goal is to have all things financial working in concert with one another to deliver a result in which the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts.
The main responsibilities for this position include:
- Quarterbacking the client experience at Imperium Wealth Management for your designated clients
- Analyzing financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies for helping clients meet their financial objectives.
- Have a strong command of financial planning concepts, rules, and code limits & limitations.
- Provide financial planning guidance to the investment management, client service, and tax team
- Analyze, draft, edit, and deliver comprehensive financial plans to clients.
- Keeping up-to-date with cutting edge financial planning techniques.
- Leadership capabilities to see projects and initiatives to completion.
- Working together with other firm professionals to ensure that the suite of recommendations being made are the most advantageous to the client and in their best interests.
- Excel in incredible follow up skills with clients.
- Ensure retention of the firm’s clients
- Able to be here during office hours 8am-5pm
- Other duties as necessary—we are very much a culture where “that’s not my job” doesn’t work.
It is important that this candidate is a self-motivator that can work autonomously on a team without micro-management while, at the same time, holding themselves accountable to getting their responsibilities accomplished on time. However, at the same time, they will get behind executive leadership. The candidate must be able to act professionally and courteously in an exceptional manner with clients and other team members.

Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum, preferably in personal financial planning
- 5 years of client-facing financial planning or wealth management experience
- CFP® credentialed.
- Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and analytical skills.
- Satisfactory background check
- Strong knowledge of and the ability to present investment, financial planning, insurance, and tax planning concepts.
- Extreme attention to detail and resourcefulness
- Strong computer aptitude with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Must have positive, friendly personality; someone easy to get along with
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly, can figure things out for themselves.
- Coachable
- Experience with MoneyTree preferred.
- Experience with Morningstar Office Online preferred.
- Experience with Redtail preferred.
- Self-motivated, dependable, resourceful, and, most importantly, loyal
- Poised, doesn’t buckle under pressure.
