Job Summary: Primary responsibility will be to manage regulatory compliance across VSG brands. The Product Compliance Engineer will be the organization’s expert on PPE certification and product compliance.
This position will be responsible for all aspects of product compliance. This will include, completing new certifications to national and international standards, writing technical files for new products, maintaining current technical files, and assessing the impact of product revision to existing certifications.
Essential job functions include :
· Prepare and submit technical files for new product certifications
· EU module D/C2 certification maintenance for applicable brands
· Audit and maintain standards libraries
· Re-certification of existing certified products at the end of certification validity
· Creation of new technical files and maintenance of existing technical files
· Creation and revision of product technical notices
· Product labeling compliance
· Test, prepare and submit product samples for third party certification
· Witness third-party certification testing when required or needed
· Manage CA proposition 65/EU SHVC compliance
· Routinely audit product performance test data for compliance
· Auditing of development records ensuring ISO 9001 compliance
· Participate in new product risk assessments
· Communicate new product certification status with key stakeholders
· Represent VSG at standards committee meetings when appropriate
Position Requirements:
· BS in an engineering discipline
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Technical writing skills
· The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, think critically, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to strict deadlines.
· Meticulous attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to follow projects at every stage through to completion.
· Teamwork oriented
· Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to learn technical details, relative to the industry, quickly
· Some travel necessary
