Position: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Sunny Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a skilled nursing facility located in Sheboygan, WI is searching for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is instrumental in implementing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department to maintain standards of residents’ care. Directs the activities of licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel who provide healthcare and nursing services to the residents 24 hours, 7 days per week.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Will have responsibilities in staff development & and education, infection control, and wound care management. Weekend call rotation will be a part of the responsibilities.
- This position develops and implements nursing services, objectives, policies, and procedures in accordance with Federal and State regulations as well as local standards and guidelines.
- The Registered Nurse Supervisor shares responsibility for backing up RN staff on a 24-hour per day, 7-day per week basis.
- Designs implements, and evaluates nursing systems that ensure consistent delivery of care and maintain and promote resident rights.
- Conducts nursing rounds on all units several times per day, including the beginning and end of the shift.
- Ensures that residents are free from abuse, mistreatment, and neglect.
- Participates as a member of the facility’s interdisciplinary management team in planning, policy formation, and administrative decision-making, with particular emphasis on the facility’s nursing services.

Education and/or Experience
- Licensed with current Wisconsin licensure required.
- Degree from an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program.
- 3 years of experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting, preferred.
- Experience with applicable state Survey Rules and regulations, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Ability to use desktop/notebook computers, Microsoft Office products, and various medical equipment required.
- Prior experience with PCC (Point Click Care) is a PLUS!
