Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments and equipment.
- Take dental X-rays and process them for diagnostic purposes, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Welcome and prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments, addressing their concerns and providing support throughout their visit.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Assist in dental charting and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dental office environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Dental Assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) from an accredited agency.
- years of experience as a Dental Assistant, with a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology.
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and knowledge of infection control protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
