QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
Cap8 Doors & Hardware™ is a comprehensive door distribution and installation service provider situated within the district and dedicated to serving the Mid-Atlantic region. We are currently seeking an individual who can proficiently conduct quality control inspections and, when necessary, assist with installations. In this role, you will serve as the face of our company, upholding our professionalism and cost-effectiveness to enhance both our profitability and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Field activities
· Communication between Client/subcontractors & Project Managers.
· Assist with subs initial paperwork such as contract, osha, payroll.
· Collaborate with PMs, engineers & subcontractors, to determine project needs. Manage multiple subcontractors.
· Develop strong working relationships with subcontractors.
· Keeping track of project progress & update PlanGrid/ Bluebeam.
· Monitor and report on project progress.
· Assist in development and management of project schedule.
· Ensure project safety.
· Ensure a clean work site.
· QC responsible according to specifications.
· Direct QC after work is done.
· Manage close-out tasks, punch lists & as-built drawings.
· Field measurements as needed.
· Keep track of material stock and orders.
· Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
· Complete safety paperwork such as OSHA30, RCP, etc.
· Assist in any other activity requires by Ops Manager
· Lead process of material delivered to subcontractor.
· Drive own car for travel to and from jobsites or Cap8 Office every day.
· Perform installation job when required.
· Take care of punch-list if needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience preferred.
· Proven ability to work independently, manage subcontractors, and maintain schedules.
· Must pass drug test and background check.
· Must have OSHA30 certification.
· Up to date with COVID Vaccination and booster shot.
· Must be able to work overtime as needed (that includes weekends).
· Ability to lift a minimum of 90 pounds.
· Standing for long hours.
· Physical work required.
· The typical workday starts at 6:00 am at the job site or warehouse.
· Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, cold, etc.)
· Ability to operate forklifts (preferred)
· 3+ years of experience installing doors and hardware and specialties.
· 3+ years of experience as a quality control inspector
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Solid problem-solving capabilities
· Proficient using technology, including smartphones, computers, and emails.
· Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
· Knowledge of proper safety practices when using tools.
· Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
· Work in a fast-paced environment, completing multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
· Experience with hand and power tools, including hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and cordless drills.
· Fluent in Spanish is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
