General description
The Sioux Rubber representative is a commissioned salesperson responsible for selling Sioux Rubber’s products and services. The ability to be resourceful, curious, and creative is critical to developing and maintaining relationships with customers. A successful Sioux Rubber & Urethane salesperson is competitive and confident in their approach with existing customers and acquiring new customers. They are also independent, outgoing, and comfortable with a fast-paced environment as well as driven and impatient to succeed both personally and professionally.
This position is involved in but not limited to short- and long-term planning for customer acquisition and growth, is directly involved in the quoting of products and services, market research, customer visits, and maintaining customer relationships.
This position is typically a Monday to Friday job, but overnight travel can be expected up to 25% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential customers.
· Develop a deep understanding of the Sioux Rubber product offerings.
· Quote products and services to existing and new Sioux Rubber customers
· Work closely with Sioux Rubber leadership, production personnel, and office staff to ensure clear lines of communication between sales and production and timely, accurate order fulfillment.
· Travel to key customers and prospects
· Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in conjunction with management.
· Conduct market research to determine potential customers, market trends, and focus areas for sales efforts.
· Create and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
· Coordinate closely with marketing to ensure marketing is targeting the correct audience for current sales focus.
· Follow-up with new sales leads provided by marketing system.
· Leverage HubSpot sales software to maximize sales efforts as well as generate data to assist in the evaluation on the effectiveness of marketing and sales activity.
· Provide SR management with timely updates on sales activities and lead status.
· Prepare monthly sales reports.
· Participate in opportunities to develop new product lines to address opportunities in the market.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· Identify and/or attend industry conferences and networking events.
Requirements
5 years of sales experience or equivalent, bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
Ability to travel up to 25% of month.
Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not required.
Strong people and communication skills
Strong computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with HubSpot or other CRM software
Driver’s license required.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and blueprints.
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders.
Able to lift and carry samples and products up to 40 pounds.
Able to stand on tall outdoor structures and machinery to evaluate customer needs.

· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on all levels with both internal and external stakeholders verbally and in writing.
· Ability to research, develop, and execute solutions for company scale opportunities and problems.
· Proven ability to prioritize and effectively delegate responsibility to others.
· Make decisions based on limited data and course correct as new information becomes available.
· Proficient in MS Office Products, in particular Word and Excel
· Willingness to ask questions and be curious.
