Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest quality of meals are served to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure all ingredients are properly measured and ready for use
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste
- Maintain knowledge of current menu items, specials, and promotions
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
