Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the dental office
- Answer phone calls with a strong, but friendly voice
- Schedule appointments and manage the office's calendar
- Verify insurance coverage and process patient payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with office management tasks
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations of the front desk
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare office or similar front desk role is preferred
- Proficiency in using phone systems and computerized scheduling software
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage appointments, paperwork, and administrative tasks effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and billing processes
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers
