Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and repairing tools and dies used in the manufacturing process. This role requires expertise in mechanical knowledge, AutoCAD, welding, machining, and more.
Duties:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and work specifications to fabricate tools and dies
- Operate manual and computer-controlled machinery to create precision tools
- Inspect finished dies for quality and ensure they meet specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and production team to develop efficient tooling solutions
- Troubleshoot issues with existing tools and dies to maintain production efficiency
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and reading schematics
- Experience with stamping presses, plastics injection molding, milling machines, and hand tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of tooling processes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
