Highland Forge, a fabricator of premium custom drapery hardware based in Atlanta, GA since 2005, is looking to immediately hire an Industrial Operations Associate. This employee will learn a variety of operations and processes related to powder coating, quality control, packaging, shipping, and inventory management. Our processes are complex and rule-based with important checks and balances. They require significant organizational skills, attention to detail, accountability, and pride in work. The employee will be trained by our Operations Manager and will progressively learn each of the areas mentioned above. An employee with the right skills (such as interpersonal skills and ability to improve processes) will have the opportunity to move into a manager role upon mastery of each process. The employee will be mostly on their feet working in an open-air industrial environment. Shift is M-F, 7am to 4pm with 1 hour lunch.
The employee will ideally also be involved in the implementation and refinement of a custom workflow software system currently in development.

Job Details (including but not limited to):
- Powder Coating: operating pre-treatment tools and machinery; optimizing spray cart configurations; loading/unloading spray carts; powder coating a large variety of parts including rods, brackets, finials, and rings; operating industrial oven
- Quality Control: examining large variety of parts to confirm fabrication specs and powder coat quality; sorting parts by orders; bundling and sleeving parts for packaging
- Packaging: selecting most efficient packaging materials for each order and completing high-quality package that can withstand rough handling by shipping carriers
- Shipping: interfacing with shipping software to enter package dimensions; creating and applying shipping labels
- Inventory Management: storing new inventory; reserving inventory for orders; determining finished inventory needs
