About the role:
Accompany Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team. As the Senior Accountant, you will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting operations of the organization, which are primarily outsourced and actively being brought in-house. Support the day-to-day accounting operations of multiple legal entities, including accounts payable, treasury and general ledger

Process A/P invoices accurately and timely, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures

Enforce expense reimbursement policy

Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely

Assist with the monthly financial closes, including creating monthly journal entries and performing account reconciliations

Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP

Play a key role in the annual audit process with external auditors

Help coordinate the preparation of annual tax returns with an independent CPA firm, including preparation of supporting workpapers

Proactively identify issues, drive continuous improvement, optimize and automate processes/systems

You are an eager self-starter who derives energy from building and creating systems, frameworks and tools

You are a highly accurate and technically proficient accounting professional

Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
-
2-4 years of accounting experience

In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP

Significant experience preparing complex audit schedules

Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

Ability to track and manage several projects simultaneously

Exceptionally motivated, organized and detail-oriented; team player with a willingness to help where required
Preferred-
1-2 years of experience in a top accounting firm
