Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy, to relieve pain and improve mobility
- Work with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to address their specific needs and goals
- Utilize anatomy and physiology knowledge to understand the underlying causes of patients' conditions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate patients on proper exercises and techniques for at-home care
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
Skills:
- Strong anatomy knowledge to understand the musculoskeletal system and its functions
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques to effectively treat muscle pain and tension
- Experience or interest in working with pediatric patients and addressing their unique needs
- Solid understanding of physiology to guide treatment plans and monitor progress
- Familiarity with medical terminology to communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work in a hospital or acute care setting, providing care to patients with various conditions
- Excellent patient care skills, including empathy, active listening, and clear communication
