A Day in the Life:
- Complete provider payer enrollment/credentialing and recredentialing with all identified payers in a timely manner. Handles highly sensitive and confidential information regarding Apollo MedFlight or clients, and their owners
- Resolve enrollment issues through collaboration with leadership, office staff, insurers, and others as identified. Maintains positive working relationships with payers. Plays an active role in explaining and informing leadership and staff of the submission requirements for credentialing/recredentialing processes, stressing the importance of compliance with these processes.
- Obtain updated organizational and owner information from various sources including inter-departmental and program leadership, state licensing boards, malpractice insurance companies, etc. Identifies and resolves problems with primary source verification elements by interpreting, analyzing, and researching data.
- Proactively obtain updated organizational credentialing data prior to expiration. Creates, develops, and maintains applicable matrices and/or utilizes departmental software that supports the enrollment functions. Completes all additions, updates, and deletions of base locations. Supports new Apollo or client base location onboarding processes as related to enrollment.
- Provide updates to base staffing and organizational aircraft inventory with any changes to requirements for credentialing individual geographical locations based on government and commercial payer credentialing processes. Proactively communicated any changes regarding contracting requirements as it relates to enrollment and operations.
- Communicate updated payer enrollment information including payer provider ID numbers to staff and appropriate Apollo/client vendors or their applications in a timely manner while fostering working relationships and teamwork with departments, vendors, etc.
- Develop databases and spreadsheets for tracking organization base locations. Ensures data is accessible/transparent for leadership inquiries or other information as deemed necessary by management.
- Continuously search for process improvements to achieve accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
The Background we are looking for:
- 1 year experience in a medical provider environment with a basic understanding of various payer billing requirements and claims processing or experience with payer credentialing/enrollment requirements
- Advanced computer skills using word, excel, adobe and web-based applications
- Excellent customer service, follow-up, and communication skills
- ·Associate degree (preferred)
- Certified Provider Credentialing Support (CPCS) by the National Association Medical Staff Services (preferred)
- Delegated credentialing experience (preferred)
- Experience with PECOS (Medicare enrollment management system)(preferred)
