Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the document control processes and ensures the proper control and protocols are followed for all proprietary documents by maintaining, updating, and archiving documents. Ensure documents and records are controlled as per procedures and to API Spec Q1 and ISO 9001: 2018 standards, current revisions.
Responsibilities:
- Review Material Test Reports for both raw material and completed parts against various material specifications/ standards.
- Understand, review, retrieve, and maintain appropriate documentation required per order/job.
- Generate Quality Plans per customer requirements.
- Coordinate inspection required by Quality Plans
- Reviews and maintains the accuracy of the records, editing where necessary to ensure they are up to date.
- Coordinates and expedites the flow of quality, supplier, customer, production, and technical documentation.
- Manages customer requests for quality documentation.
- Securely files, physically and digitally, all documents and records in conformance to requirements.
- Creates and submits documents punctually and with high quality and very few errors.
- Efficiently sets up, copies, scans, and archives documents.
- Creates templates, procedures, forms, and instructions in support of document and process control.
- Effectively communicates with internal customers via email, phone, or other media.
- Proactively identifies and communicates process improvements and supports a continuous improvement culture.
- Monitors and ensures all documentation is maintained and controlled.
- Contributes to process quality improvement through the identification & implementation of ideas and suggestions.
- Collaborates with others for timely resolution and disposition of any issues or corrective actions.
- Maintains workplace organization and cleanliness.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Document control practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
- Documentation organizational skills.
- Manufacturing documentation review, scanning, and electronic filing.
- 1 – 3 years’ work experience in document control.
- 1 – 3 years’ work experience in Oil & Gas Industry.
- Prefer 1 – 3 years’ work experience in Document Control role.
