The Retail Sales associate will be responsible for supporting the sales team by performing on-site shoe fittings. The candidate must be professional, reliable, flexible, as well as possess a positive attitude and an excellent customer service skill set. The candidate will also facilitate the operational functions of managing the on-site store location 2 days per week with set store hours focusing specifically on servicing the customer, maximizing sales, maintaining merchandise mix, controlling inventory product as well shipping and receiving of weekly product from the warehouse. The candidate will also assist On-Site Service teams with preparing fit kits for remote customers while traveling the local Mid-West market for business opportunities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Increase sales; meet or exceed productivity goals.
- Promotes and secures orders from existing customers through a relationship-based approach.
- Understand container concept and adhere to all company policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
- Create and build long-lasting relationships with your customers.
- Help customers select the right products for their unique needs per container store replenishment.
- Maintain inventory levels per storage rooms and cage locations throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Demonstrates products and services to existing customers and assists them in selecting those best suited footwear for their department needs.
- Understands and utilizes basic selling skills to properly engage and present solutions to customers.
- Possesses a complete working knowledge of products and services to help customers select the right products for their safety needs.
- Facilitate orders, receive shipments, and process sorting of shipments for upcoming on-site fittings.
- Pickup/Drop off inventory.
- Assist customers by providing information, answering questions, obtaining merchandise requested, and completing payment transactions.
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Processes accurate and efficient sale and return transactions.
- Understands and utilizes basic selling skills to properly engage and present solutions to customers.
- Sets up display and inventory in client locations.
- Responsible for securing and safety of all products on-site.
- Assist the On-Site service team with fit kit process when needed.
- Light Mid-West travel for On-Site fittings when available.
Skills and Abilities:
- 2-3+ years retail store sales experience preferred
- Must work independently during on-site fittings.
- Must have great time management skills and the ability multi-task.
- Proven track record in sales generation
- Demonstrated customer service orientation.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and generate sales in person.
- Possess good judgement skills.
- Successful presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Accurate and professional written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Driven to meet goals and generate results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, and ability to use Point of Sales System (POS)
Minimum Requirements:
- Work requires some local travel to current clients, which requires a valid state driver’s license in good standing.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule (weekends, nights, occasional overnight travel)
Education:
· High School diploma or GED required.
