Description:
This role supports and enables the sales team while serving as a critical bridge between several departments in the company. This role drives adoption and optimization of sales tools, including CRM. This role gathers and analyzes various internal and external sales data to help guide strategic decision making. This role will construct and communicate actionable data plans in gathering data/research, making recommendations for optimizing output and customer activities, and marketing support. To achieve this goal, you must be an individual who can work cross-functionally, create and support collaboration among stakeholders, focus on improving ROI of marketing efforts, improve sales representative effectiveness and share predictive analytics for new item development opportunities.
Roles Reporting Directly to this Position:
Role Priorities, Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enable sales team and work collaboratively with cross functional groups
- Key part of CRM team engaged in selection, requirements definition and implementation
- Champion and support CRM with training, data integrity and best practices
- Develop reports and analysis using available internal sales data from ERP & CRM
- Serve as an internal technical and analytic consultant to the Sales and Marketing Team, especially on CRM optimization
- Extract data from industry lead services utilizing filters and sharing with appropriate stakeholders
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to qualify leads and improve customer acquisition strategies
- Facilitate and optimize use of sales tools through training and direct support of Sales staff
- Understand applicable data sources, research best practice for consolidation, linking and accessibility of data sources, and collaborate with IT for data housing, if necessary
- Construct and communicate actionable data with recommendations to optimize opportunities
- Support Sales team with data collection on new queries and projects
- Provide data to support business development initiatives that are consistent with Hartung’s overall strategy and execute supporting operating policies
- Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to share data on trends among customers to help support new product/business decisions
- Support current sales reporting needs both scheduled and ad hoc to foster the development of automated reporting
Leverage and analyze market research to provide recommendations and planning
Requirements:
· 3 to 5 years experience in Sales/Sales Operations or Business Analysis· 3+ years experience with CRM or Business Intelligence Applications· Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking and presentation skills· Excellent analytical skills: retail data, pricing, promotional, POS, etc.· A solid understanding of the market: products, retail channels and other relevant business contacts· A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field· Experience at nurturing business relationships and establishing long term partnerships· Working knowledge of Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Operations· Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies as well as provide business acumen, energy and vision to a growing team· Ability to think and act strategically while maintaining a pragmatic perspective· Exhibits leadership traits – approachable and a good listener· Proficient in Excel and Business analytic tools
Working Conditions, Environment, and Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The majority of the time performing job duties is spent indoors, within a standard office environment utilizing typical office equipment such as writing instruments, computer, telephone, copier, fax, etc
