English Hudson is a strategy and resource development practice with over twenty-five years of experience in fundraising, communications, executive search, strategic planning, and coaching for local, national, and international nonprofit organizations, foundations, and other mission-driven organizations. Position Summary: Writing Strategist
English Hudson Writing Strategists provide clients with a variety of consulting and writing services including but not limited to:
- Grant writing: draft grant proposals, reports and other writing assets ahead of deadlines.
- Content generation: assist with the generation of collateral, presentations, and social media content.
- Research: conduct research and compile data to complete writing projects as needed and requested.
- Meetings: Participation in meetings with clients as needed, for the purpose of understanding and communicating deliverables.
- Systems: Utilization of EH systems and databases.
- Innovation: Understanding of effective ways to use writing tools such as Grantable. Continuously learn best practices in foundation giving and grant writing to stay abreast of changes in the market and industry
- Collaboration: Work in a collegial manner with clients and EH consultants involved in projects to ensure on-time deliverables.
- Communication: Provide timely updates on progress on all assigned projects.
- Culture: contribute to a culture of feedback and collegiality.
- Additional Responsibilities: this role may encompass other responsibilities as needed to support the evolving needs of English Hudson.

- Strong working knowledge of office applications and online collaboration tools, such as Google suite, Sharepoint, One Drive, Dropbox, Adobe PDF, DocuSign, Zoom, etc.
- Familiarity with online grant applications required.
- Ability to learn and use company-specific software.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
