Summary
The Deputy Circuit Clerk-Recorder is responsible for recording of the Benton County land records and maintaining accurate data for future use of these records. Deputy Circuit Clerk-Recorder will be responsible for the processing of all documents that are received: by mail, electronically, and across the service counter. At the same time, being able to assist in other tasks such as: data entry, answering questions, researching, making certified copies for legal purposes and resolving problems from customers over the telephone or in person. Deputy Circuit Clerk-Recorder must process documents according to AR State Statutes and office policies. Must be able to work efficiently, timely and remain professional in all situations as this is a very time sensitive and fast paced position. Deputy Circuit Clerk-Recorder must be able to assist with the passport acceptance requirements of the United States Passport Services. Will be responsible for daily receipts of services rendered and balancing of cash drawer.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
General understanding of real property terminology preferred
Previous customer service experience required
Ability to multitask effectively
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and deadline-oriented
Knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel
Ability to concentrate for periods of time and perform accurately with adequate speed
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
