Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Department: Administration
Reports to: Accounting Supervisor
Schedule: Monday – Friday (or to be determined by Manager) & overtime as needed
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
As a member of the accounting staff you would be responsible for the processing of financial related information.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains Accounts Receivable including invoicing, daily deposits, monthly statements and collection calls. Processes customer invoices using their invoicing portals. Processes customer credit card payments and accurately applies to customer accounts
- Maintains Accounts Payable including vendor invoices, vendor payments, and electronic storage of accounts payable files
- Files State Use & Sales Tax for multiple jurisdictions
- Compiles data to documents; investigate and reconcile differences
- Prepares general ledger journal entries as needed
- Communicates with external customers and vendors as well as internal employees
- Assists with monthly accounting schedules
- Performs all duties in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Perform all duties as required and in accordance with established safety guidelines

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associates Degree in accounting.
Experience: Experience with automated financial accounting systems and Microsoft office products.
Alternate: High School Diploma or GED and at least five (3) years experience in an accounting position.
Other: Ability to maintain professional integrity and confidentiality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
