Job Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Communications Manager is responsible for internal and external communications for Academy 4. They will work with the Leadership team to determine priorities and goals, and collaborate with all departments to ensure cohesive branding and messaging throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Must embrace the mission of Academy 4 to connect churches to schools and their communities to mentor 4th graders in leadership.
- Understands the value of service and is willing to do whatever it takes for the program to succeed and reach at-risk children – helping shape them into future leaders.
- Organized and excels at executing processes and procedures and has great attention to detail.
- Able to clearly describe the goals and supporting tasks that accomplish the mission of Academy 4 while speaking and writing.
- 2-4 years of experience in a communications role
- 1-3 years of supervision experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, or equivalent is preferred
- Familiar with social media platforms and how to implement a multi-channel strategy while maintaining brand continuity
- Ability to work with stakeholders to define the outcomes, develop the plan, implement the plan, and evaluate the results
- Demonstrated skill in a variety of writing styles – copywriting, long form, scripts, informational
- This is an office-based role with the need to lift and carry up to 30lbs
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as brand ambassador for the organization and expand brand awareness.
- Develop and implement a multi-channel communications strategy.
- Establish internal communications strategy to ensure consistent messaging across all departments and enhance two-way communication for all staff.
- Project manage communications campaigns to ensure timely completion and collaborate with internal stakeholders to define needs and desired outcomes.
- Partner with Programs to prepare, manage, and distribute all programs materials.
- Develop content for other departments as needed.
- Establish performance metrics and regularly analyze them to improve strategy and tactics.
- Lead communications team in completing assignments and initiatives.
