Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Assistant Pasty Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods for a French Bakery in the beloved Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle. The position is full-time, Tuesday - Saturday, 3am - 11am. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity and culinary skills in a well-known local French Bakery!
Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and established quality standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision and attention to detail
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely production and delivery of pastry items
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines needed for a kitchen setting
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and pastry preparation methods
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Creativity and artistic flair for cake decorating and pastry presentation
- Ability to showcase attention to detail, timeline, and quality in relation to each product
