Franklinton High School, situated in the dynamic Franklinton neighborhood just west of downtown Columbus, Ohio, seeks candidates for the role of High School Applied Arts Teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons in applied arts subjects, fostering creativity and practical skills development among students.
- Provide support and guidance to students in understanding and applying concepts in various applied arts disciplines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate applied arts education across the curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported in their artistic pursuits.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to promote growth and achievement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with a focus on applied arts or a relevant subject area (preferred).
- Experience teaching applied arts subjects to high school students.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in various applied arts disciplines, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
