Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the Banquet Manager include overseeing the Banquet Captains, Banquet Servers, Banquet Housemen, and Banquet Bartenders. The manager ensures the accurate execution of event set-up, tear-down, and overall completion according to the details outlined in the Function Sheet. Throughout the event, the Banquet Manager engages with the host, addressing any special requests or last-minute changes, to guarantee seamless service and create a memorable experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains the cleanliness of the Club premises
- Oversees the recruitment, training, coaching, discipline, scheduling, and supervision of all banquet department personnel
- Attends weekly BEO meeting
- Conducts pre-function meetings with banquet staff to ensure effective coordination
- Facilitates consistent communication among Banquet Captains, Banquet Servers, Banquet Bartenders, Catering Staff, Chef, and Culinary Staff
- Ensures proper setup of meeting and event rooms in accordance with Function Sheet specifications and diagrams
- Addresses guests' needs during functions and fulfills related duties
- Ensures exceptional service delivery throughout events
- Ensures accurate consumption for billing is submitted following each event
- Completes detailed event recap report following each function
- Keeps service corridors, event space, office space, and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed on an ongoing basis
- Assists in maintaining standards of health, safety, and sanitation
- Promotes teamwork and flexibility across all departments
- Assists in other duties and projects as assigned
Qualification/Requirements:
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, representing the club with a high level of professionalism and courtesy
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, ensuring effective planning and execution of events
- Possess strong decision-making skills to handle various situations and challenges that may arise
- Ability to communicate effectively with both club members and guests, ensuring clear and positive interactions
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the dynamic nature of event management
Education/Training/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- TABC Certification
- Minimum 3-4 years supervisory experience, preferred
- Minimum 3-4 years Banquet server and/or bartender experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
