The Role
Hospitality at Piggyback is a team sport. Due to the intimate size of the space, it is essential that the entire team that works closely together and is aligned on creating memorable experiences for everyone they encounter from guests, to fellow employees, to vendors, as well as the community. In this tight knit ecosystem, the Head Bartenders is responsible for inventory, developing new beverages and assisting the other bartenders on making all of the beverages on a nightly basis, while creating memorable and hospitable guest experiences to not just people sitting at the bar but for all those that enter the bar. A full understanding of the origins, production, and styles of different spirits, wines, and beers, as well as an expansive knowledge of cocktail history are essential for bartending at Piggyback. In addition, the Head Bartenders at Piggyback must possess humble and effortless barmanship skills, have excellent customer service and innate hospitality genes with a thirst for knowledge and the ability to mentor others on the team.
