POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction of the continuum of the clinical services within the Mental Health Center. Administrative responsibilities include planning and managing clinical services, supervising, and evaluating clinical personnel, assisting with contract monitoring, and assisting with implementing quality improvement activities. The Clinical Supervisor is co-leader with the Psychiatrist in the coordination of interdisciplinary treatment team activities.
Performance of Clinical Responsibilities
Competency
Assessment: Demonstrates the ability to participate in the assessment process that supports admission into the Mental Health Center.
Performance Expectations:
1. Assists clinical staff to assess age-appropriate behavior as well as, emotional, social, and physical development including:
· Interpersonal relationships and involvement in work, family, and community
· Risk factors regarding health and lifestyle.
· Emotional barriers and strengths which will impact on the consumer’s recovery.
Competency
Planning and Implementation: Demonstrates the ability to collaboratively develop and implement an integrated treatment plan based upon the assessment.
Performance Expectations:
1.Collaborates with the multidisciplinary Treatment Team, which includes the psychiatrist and consumer, to review the psychosocial history and assessments and to plan the treatment course.
2. Involves the consumer, family member, referral source, and other support services in a collaborative process for establishing, monitoring, and refining the treatment plan.
Competency
Evaluation: Demonstrates the ability to continuously coordinate the evaluation of the consumers’ response to treatment approaches.
Performance Expectations:
1. Participates in interagency and intra-agency communication to facilitate review and revision of consumer’s treatment plan.
2. Manages time such that all treatment plan reviews are completed within the time frames set by funding and/or regulatory requirements.
Performance of Management Responsibilities
Competency
Leadership: Provides effective leadership within the Clinical Services of New Vitae Mental Health Center.
Performance Expectations:
1. Assumes overall responsibility for the administration, coordination, and integration of clinical services in collaboration with the Assistant Director and Psychiatrists.
2. Participates in the development, interpretation, and implementation of New Vitae philosophy, vision, mission, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures.
3. Recommends staffing patterns: Assists in the determination of the qualifications, competence, and responsibilities of clinical staff.
4. Participates in strategic planning and program development.
5. Perform those duties specified for a Therapist as needed to meet consumer service demands.
6. Plans on an annual basis a staff development calendar based on the educational and training needs of the clinical staff.
Competency
Safety: Demonstrates skills in maintaining consumer, visitor, and staff safety in the treatment setting.
Performance Expectations:
1. Assures that the environment is maintained for the safety of the consumer, staff, and visitors.
2. Responds, and directs staff and consumers appropriately during emergencies, such as but not limited to fire, internal and external disasters, power outages which impact clinical programming.

Performance Expectations:
1. Uses age-appropriate vocabulary while displaying compassion, respect, flexibility, and hope to all consumers.
2. Displays objective, empathetic detachment and willingness to become conscious of, and manage

3. Encourages harmonious working relationships among employees in the Center.
4. Communicates pertinent information to various staff throughout TCR, such as: transportation, billing, nursing.
5. Effectively communicates to outside providers about New Vitae.
6. Networks with community agencies to increase service delivery.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes all mandatory training sessions at orientation and annually thereafter.

- Attends monthly staff meeting and all other meetings, as assigned.
- Maintains confidentiality of information related to the individuals served.
- Interacts in a respectful manner with individuals served, coworkers and visitors.

- Abides by employee health and safety policies.
9. Completes 12 hours of in-house or external training; at least one (1) staff development program addresses supervisory/management skills. In addition, attends an extra 10 hours of training annually.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master’s degree in behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university. LPC or LCSW
Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of paid professional experience in a behavioral health setting including at least three (2) years of supervisory experience leading a multi-disciplined professional staff.

Pay: $64,480.00 - $64,481.00 per year
