Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication disorders. You will work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop tailored therapy plans to address each individual's unique needs. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practices.
- Implement therapy interventions to improve communication skills, articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and swallowing function.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and adjustment of therapy plans as needed to ensure progress towards established goals.
- Collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to promote effective communication strategies and facilitate carryover of skills into daily life.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for certification.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Prior experience working with individuals with a variety of communication disorders and ages preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in the provision of services.
