CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT
JOB SUMMARY
This is a full-time, on-site role in Everett, Washington. The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data. They will also assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. The Corporate Accountant will work closely with various departments, within both SNBL USA and SNBL Japan, and support the overall financial health of the company.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for supporting several organizations within SNBL USA’s operations:
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting system (QuickBooks).
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and recording associated journal entries.
- Report monthly financial results to SNBL Japan on a timely basis.
- Oversee bank account management and process invoices for payment via online banking, including payments for renovation work and construction in progress.
- Process reimbursements for employee reimbursements.
- Summarize planned monthly expenditures and confirm scheduled payments.
- Compile construction-related payment schedules.
- Prepare follow-up status report on construction progress.
- Bill rental fees and compile facility usage expenses.
- Administer rental fees (issuance of invoices, payment management).
Other Responsibilities:
- Provide ad-hoc support for SNBL USA’s operations, including SNBL Global Gateway (SGG) partners and member companies, U.S.-Japan Gateway Foundation and future SNBL-sponsored entities, with projects including (but not limited to):
- Comply with local, state, and federal reporting requirement (e.g. city/state licensing, Bureau of Economic Analysis surveys).
- Support the preparation, review and filing of tax returns.
- Provide administrative support for SGG members including incorporation support, opening bank accounts, and other operations assistance.
- Assist with U.S.-Japan Gateway Foundation administration, including donation management, regulatory oversight, and reporting.
- Assist in insurance oversight, evaluations/renewals and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 2 – 4+ years of directly related full cycle accounting experience
- Prior experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
- Ability to speak Japanese is preferred
- Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, account reconciliation and financial statement preparation
- Data analysis and interpretation
- US GAAP
- Implementing new processes and documenting procedures
- Equivalent education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
SALARY RANGE: $60,000 – 95,000
