Predenting helps undergraduate students get accepted to dental school by helping them write an outstanding personal statement, application, secondary essays, and through interview preparation and mock interviews.
We are a team of experts including dentists, residents, dental students, and former admissions officers who are passionate about helping the next pre-dental student achieve their dreams.
Role:
The dental school admissions advisor assists students who are applying to dental school with all aspects of the dental admissions preparation and application processes. This is a part-time, remote position. The advisor will use a variety of online platforms, including Google Drive, as well as a phone, to work with students. This position provides the opportunity to mentor and advise pre-dental students (and possibly their parents), manage individual projects, and work as part of a highly rewarding position.
Responsibilities:
Assist in all (or some) aspects of the application process including school selection, personal statement development and writing, supplemental essay writing, and help to complete applications. You may also provide interview coaching.
Work with students, typically between the ages of 20 – 30, to obtain letters of recommendation, assist in brainstorming and writing their personal statement, providing general dental admissions advising, assist in writing and completing supplemental applications, selecting schools to apply to, and other activities to help strengthen their application profile.
Strong project management and communication skills are required.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate possesses the following:
· DDS or DMD degree in progress or completed.
· Experience in dental school admissions counseling.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong customer service and project management skills.
· Accountability, and a high degree of integrity and ethics.
· Ideally, has been part of a dental school admissions team (current or past experience, either interviewing candidates, reviewing applications, etc.), at a U.S. accredited dental school.
· Flexibility: Advisors get to choose their schedule, but should be open to work weekends and/or evenings to advise students. Advisors work around the student's schedule.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $55,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
