What You’ll Do
Interstaff is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee our International Nurse Training Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nurse education and training, a passion for international travel, and a genuine desire to engage with Interstaff nurses engaged in the US immigration journey. This full-time position involves managing all aspects of the IPTI program, including curriculum development, trainer coordination, logistics planning, and nurse engagement. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and measuring the effectiveness of our international nurse training initiatives.
Description:
- Interstaff’s International Nurse Training Program is called IPTI, short for i*n-person training i*ntensive. This program is designed to provide education and training to our international nurses prior to moving and starting work in a US hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the International Nurse Training Program, including curriculum development, training logistics, and nurse attendee engagement.
- Collaborate with clinical educators and subject matter experts to develop comprehensive training materials and curriculum tailored to the needs of our nurses.
- Recruit and coordinate with internal and external trainers to ensure availability, scheduling, and readiness for training sessions. Provide guidance and support to trainers as needed.
- Manage all logistical aspects of the training program, including travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, and venue coordination. Ensure seamless execution of training sessions in various international locations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for nurses participating in the program. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and communication to ensure a positive and enriching training experience.
- Develop QA program. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions through participant feedback, performance metrics, and program assessments. Implement improvements and adjustments as needed to enhance program outcomes.
- Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders, including leadership, clinical teams, and recruitment staff, to provide updates on program activities, outcomes, and challenges.
- Travel internationally on 9-11 trips per year to facilitate training sessions and oversee program implementation in various locations. Approximately 100 days of travel yearly.
- Participate in supplemental recruitment activities during international travel as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field is required.
- Strong background in nurse education, training, or clinical practice, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar nurse education role (would consider Master’s in Nurse Education in lieu of years of experience).
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and program management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with international travel and cross-cultural engagement. Preference will be given to experience with travel to and time spent in developing countries.
- Must live within 50 miles of a major international airport.
- Willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis (9-11 trips per year).
- Willingness to travel domestically 3 times per year. 50-75% travel.
- Flexibility to work remotely and accommodate varying time zones.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
