CNC Setup Machinist:
· As a Nordic Solutions Contract CNC Setup Machinist, you will be called upon to perform a variety of tasks, depending on the needs of the client.
· You may be doing complete setups on a variety of Mills, Lathes or Mill-Turns.
· You may be running production in a fast-paced environment.
· Nordic Solutions Machinists are versatile, capable, and experienced craftspeople able to adjust to the changing requirements of the client quickly while holding difficult tolerances and maintaining production levels.
What we provide:
- We pay top end wages, starting at $38.00+/hour for setup level machinists.
- Hotel paid for the first week.
- You will be paid $100-$180 per diem, daily to cover your hotel, meals, and incidentals. (Amount based on job location)
- Over Time availability based on client’s needs, typically 10-25 hours/week.
- $0.655/mile reimbursement to cover your travel expenses to the client's location, payable on your first paycheck.
What you provide:
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing production requirements and hot jobs.
- Ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, sketches, and work instructions to produce the desired part.
- Outstanding attendance and job performance for the duration of your contract, usually 6 months +.
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed. Most of our jobs are going to be 2nd, 3rd, and Weekend Shifts. Being open to any of these is required.
- Your hard-earned knowledge and experience in a new environment.

- 2) Do you have an excellent working knowledge of G&M codes and GD&T?
- 3) Are you experienced in using micrometers, calipers, thread and plug gages, and other inspection tools?
- 4) Can you perform basic program edits unassisted at the panel, including tooling changes and offsets, work piece and fixture offsets, speeds, and feeds?
