Full Job Description:
We are a family-owned manufacturing company looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee our financial records and transactions, as well as handle HR responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, particularly within the e-commerce industry. This position will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial information and supporting our business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping duties, including but not limited to:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Process payroll and timesheets to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and files
- Calculating and pairing state sales tax monthly
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
- Understanding of cap tables, equity roll forward schedule and crowdfunding is helpful.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial and HR regulations and procedures
- Work with vendors, fill out credit applications, generate/send PO’s, pay invoices
- Monitor inventory and assist with inventory management
- Knowledge and understanding of Shopify and Amazon Seller is a plus
Requirements:
- Bachelor's and/or Associate's degree in Accounting and Finance
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role with at least 5 years experience, preferably in an e-commerce setting
- Experience in human resources administration is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, accounting practices, and HR regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) a plus
