Position Description
Position Title: Loan Officer Assistant
Reports to: Loan Officer
Position Summary:
The Loan Officer Assistant supports the Loan Officer in all aspects of the mortgage loan process to include administrative, marketing and sales support.
General Responsibilities
- Assist loan officer in obtaining necessary documentation from borrowers and review for accuracy.
- Understand and adhere to Federal regulations – Reg B, Reg X, Reg C and Reg Z
- Assist in providing an independent assessment of credit risk by examining individual credit/loan application for adherence to guidelines, policies and procedures as determined by investor
- Contribute to overall team performance by accomplishing other tasks as needed
- Administrative tasks such as status reports on loans in process, making copies, etc.
- Attend bi-weekly loan officer meetings
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
- Basic knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and program guidelines and requirements
- Knowledge of basic mortgage forms and documents
- Experience with Encompass LOX is a plus
Skills and Qualifications
- Korean fluency required
- Experience with Encompass / Optimal Blue / DU & LP preferred
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial documents
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as payments, interest, discounts, fees, etc.
- Strong time management skills, including ability to accurately prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors
- Strong attention to detail, excellent grammar and ability to work within time constraints
- Strong command of technology including loan originating software and MS Office Suite
- Current NMLS license optional. A LOA who is licensed perform the following duties: solicit new loans, represent themselves as a licensed Loan Officer, quote rates to a borrower, discuss with a borrower whether or not they are qualified for a mortgage loan

Pay: $40,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
