About the Project:
AMI Federal is partnered with the Louisiana Department of Health to provide rapid deployment medical teams to operate 24/7 Medical Needs Shelters.
Job Summary:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide healthcare support at Medical Needs Shelters in Louisiana.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' psychosocial needs/mental health.
- Develop individualized transition plans in collaboration with Louisianna Program Management staff for residents.
- Offer crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute emotional distress or psychiatric emergencies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines established by professional organizations, such as the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and state licensing boards.
The job duties are flexible and subject to change depending upon operational needs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process.
- Proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to address the needs and barriers of residents and families.
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and interventions for treating a variety of mental health disorders and conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Commitment to cultural competency, diversity, and inclusion in clinical practice.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted and current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the US.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations in a mental health setting.
- At least 1 year of Emergency Response Experience.
