Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller for our aluminum Cans manufacturing operation in central Florida, to join our team. As Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and reporting. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including general ledger reconciliation, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Conduct regular accounting and inventory analysis, to identify variances and trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and provide financial insights
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team, including training and development opportunities
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA highly desirable)
- CPA certification is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment, a must
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and GAAP
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
