Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Representative
Chesapeake ENT, a division of Chesapeake Specialty Care has an opening for a Medical Receptionist/Front Desk position.
This position requires travel between up to 4 locations: Owings Mills, Rosedale, Columbia, and/or Westminster. The hours of work are varied Monday through Friday, but between business hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM in 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. No weekends.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Register, check in, and check out patients.

Schedule appointments.

Collect copays and patient balances.

Assist patients with insurance documents and billing questions.

Ensure that patients have completed all necessary paperwork.

Scan and enter referrals.

Assist with pulling charts and filing paperwork.

Maintain reception area in a neat and orderly condition.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Preferred 1-year medical front desk/receptionist experience.

Basic office skills such as typing and filing.

Good organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist ill, older, or distraught patients.
Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.

Graduate of a certified medical office training course preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
