Kampack, Inc., a corrugated container manufacturer is currently seeking experienced Converting Flexo and Die Cutter Machine Operators for our start-up manufacturing operations in McDonough GA!!!
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set-up rails, print, and die cut section on Flexo accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
- Inspect all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.
- Ensure all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.
- Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and print. Check anilox rolls for damage.
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
- Train and assist First Helper, Flexo Stacker, and Bundlers with job duties on the machine. Cross-train on other machines.
- Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
- Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
- Switch duties with First Helper as necessary.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Adheres to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Reports any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to work safely & maintain product quality.
- 2 to 5 year’s experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably on high-speed Flexos and/or Rotary Die-Cutters,
- Experience as Operator and Asst Operator
- Ability to read and interpret Order Specs, Schedules, and interface with machine controls
- Reading and using a tape measure and performing basic math, including adding & subtracting fractions
- Data entry related to production reporting, preferably with experience in KIWI
- Available to work various shifts, overtime and weekends
- Communication skills with members of the machine crew and supervisors
- Leadership skills
- Willingness to learn, coach and be a part of the team.
- Initial work and training to occur at our new facility in Dover DE!!!
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms and perform work overhead; always observing safety protocols; must be able to turn head from side to side; use hands and fingers to operate controls, handle or feel objects, and tools; and talk and hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds being able to grasp multiple sheets of corrugated product, if required
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, and color vision.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
