Human Resources Clerk
ABOUT ROLE
The Human Resources Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Manager. This position handles all HR related administrative tasks, maintains up-to-date employee records, and provides general support to the HR Manager. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has excellent interpersonal skills. It is the expectation of Fiber Care Baths that the employee provides their best effort in completing the items listed under the job description.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Maintain employee records and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with completion of onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees.
- Collect and maintain employee files, such as applications, resumes, and other documents.
- Assist with recruiting, including scheduling interviews and verifying references.
- Perform data entry and filing of all HR related documents.
- Manage employee attendance records and vacation requests.
- Provide support to the HR Manager and Upper Management with various tasks as needed.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR Department.
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; Periodically audits Forms I-9.
- Assist with reports, maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case file; follows up on open cases.
- Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employee and processes enrollment, cancellation, or changes.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual.
- At least 1 years’ experience in an admin role, preferably in a Human Resources role.
- Basic Knowledge of basic HR functions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
- Experienced and proficient with computers and phones.
- Self-motivated, team player with excellent people skills.
- High level of discretion with confidential material.
- Experience in CA employment law a big plus!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
