Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct fitness assessments and create personalized workout plans for clients based on their goals, abilities, and preferences.
- Provide guidance and motivation during one-on-one training sessions, ensuring clients perform exercises safely and effectively.
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and offer nutritional advice to support clients in achieving optimal results.
- Monitor clients' progress, track measurements, and adjust workout plans as needed to ensure continued success.
- Maintain a clean and organized training environment, including equipment upkeep and sanitation protocols.
- Stay informed about current fitness trends, research, and best practices to enhance your training approach.
- Punctual attendance and time management to ensure sessions start and end at expected times.
- Maintain client confidentiality in all personal interactions.
Requirements:
- Personal Training certification from a recognized, evidence-based organization (ACE, ACSM, NSCA-CPT or CSCS)
- CPR certification
- Understanding of personal trainer scope of practice and when to refer to healthcare providers
- Prior personal training experience in a medical or fitness setting (> 9 months)
- Ability to safely apply independent judgment and discretion within personal trainer scope of practice
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with clients, colleagues and build rapport.
- Passion for fitness, wellness, and helping others achieve their fitness goals.
- Ability to adapt to diverse client needs and provide personalized support.
- Team player mindset and willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to create a positive training environment.
- Commitment to grow the personal training department at CorePhysio over several years
- Understanding of movement, measurement, and anatomy
- Customer-service focused
- Exercise physiology/kinesiology degree preferred
- Available to work Saturdays
