We are currently seeking a dedicated Personal Banking Representative to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional service to all branch customers. As a Personal Banking Representative, you will be responsible for establishing and servicing customer accounts, both personal and business. Additionally, the Personal Banking Representative will excel in recognizing opportunities to enhance existing customer relationships whenever they express a need. The Personal Banking Representative role will involve assisting customers with inquiries related to our bank's products and services while also proactively identifying opportunities to refer customers to other areas for assistance when appropriate.
Under the guidance of the Assistant Branch Manager, this position supports various customer service, operational, and administrative functions within the branch. We are looking for a team-oriented individual with a solid background in banking.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service that aligns with the Customer Bill of Rights for both consumer and business inbound calls, emails, and chats.
- Perform customer service and teller duties based on the needs and characteristics of the branch office.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of bank products and services.
- Open various types of accounts and handle all other customer service related requests and inquiries, including but not limited to the following: Personal & Business Accounts, Online Banking, IRA Accounts & RMD, Debit Card Assistance, Safe Deposit Box etc.
- Promote and sell bank products and services while ensuring customer needs are met.
- Effectively managing customer situations by identifying the root cause of the issue and offering timely solutions.
- Provides support for consumer and business inbound calls, emails, and chats (Call Center Support) as needed.
- Foster and maintain a good working relationship with other departments to meet customer/employee needs.
Qualifications and Other Determining Factors:
- Previous Banking Experience
- Excellent written and verbal internal/external communication skills
- Detailed oriented, organized, and can complete tasks accurately
- Fully understands all Teller/PB operational procedures and policies
- Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines
