This is a hands on training role. This electrician will have a passion to teach the trade to less aspiring Apprentice Electricians. You will be paired with no more than 3 at a time and they will work under your supervision to learn how to do rough, trims, and service work. There will be hands on work for you but majority is demonstrating and then instructing. You will teach the apprentice electricians the following things:
Job Responsibilities:
- Layout of electrical per plans and local codes
- Insure all electric is installed per plan and code
- Ask questions to determine severity of electrical problem
- Choose an array of tools and materials according to the repair work that needs to be done
- Confer with customers to determine their electrical repair needs
- Read and interpret blueprints and cabinet details to insure correct location of electrical
- Follow architectural drawings to determine installation of wiring systems
- Replace faulty wires and parts and ensure that the new ones are in proper working order
- Inspect electrical systems and components to determine condition and identify needed repairs
- Install a variety of electrical system components such as lighting, switches, circuits, panels and outlets
- Identify hazards or defects in electrical systems by performing periodic inspections.
- Plan layout of electrical wiring and equipment keeping in mind local building codes and project specifications
Job Requirements:
- Valid US Driver's License with clean driving history
- Current TDLR Wireman/Journeyman Electrician License
- Possess and maintain required tools
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen
- Must be able to provide work authorization documents upon hire

- High school diploma or the equivalent
