Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
- Provide basic patient care, including feeding, repositioning, and ambulation
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform airway management techniques, such as suctioning and oxygen administration
- Conduct patient assessments and document findings in medical records
- Provide behavioral health support to patients with mental health conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Assist in the management of patients with developmental disabilities
- Utilize electronic medical record systems (such as Epic) to input and retrieve patient information
- Perform physical examinations under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider
- Assist with sterile processing of medical equipment and supplies
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Phlebotomize patients for laboratory testing
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program
- Knowledge of airway management techniques and patient assessment skills
- Experience in providing behavioral health support to patients with mental health conditions is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as Epic, is a plus
- Proficiency in performing physical examinations under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider
- Understanding of sterile processing procedures for medical equipment and supplies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
