Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in a hospice setting
- Assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, symptom control, and end-of-life care options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Perform procedures such as gastric lavage, specimen collection processing, and airway management as needed
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice
- Knowledge of medical record systems is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedules
