Job Title: Barista/Scooper
Job Summary: Learn to serve and explain our Gelatos and Sorbets. Provide amazing hospitality. Develop the skills to independently run a coffee station using a manual espresso machine. Go through our in-house coffee training and pass the Pitango Coffee Certification Test to accomplish the art of serving precise, and consistent espresso drinks. Stays organized and works efficiently under pressure.

Role and Responsibilities:
· Report directly to your shift leaders and manager(s)
· Is approved as a barista to make espresso drinks with consistent temperatures, texture, and latte art
· Serving beverages to customers in an efficient manner while maintaining customer service standards
· Can work under pressure at times when there is a rush or wait
· Can multi-task and be responsible for other areas of the store in addition to the espresso bar
· Restocking customer area, serving area, and back of house as needed and at shift change
· Cleaning the service and customer areas throughout your shift and at the end of the shift
· Educating our customers about the sources and quality of our products
· Opening and or closing the store, sometimes working late hours
· Availability during weekend shifts
· At all times you will act as an ambassador of Pitango Gelato and ensure that standards are being upheld in any and all locations that you may visit while on official business or not.
· Is approved as a scooper to serve consistent, quality gelato to customers.
· Ability to educate customers on our gelato and where it comes from while ensuring the customer is having the best possible experience.

Qualifications and skills:
· Experience influences your pay but is not required!
· Must be personable and engaging with customers!
· Must be able to meet the demands of a physically intensive position which requires lifting, standing for long periods of time, and reaching all flavors in the case.
· Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
· Must have reliable transportation to work
· Must be punctual
· Must be able to conform to a dress-code which includes headwear and unpolished nails
· Must have positive references
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
