Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced bilingual (Spanish/English) individual to join our team as a Personal Injury Case Manager. More than 1 year of experience in this role is a must. As a Personal Injury Case Manager, you will be at the forefront of our client interactions, managing cases from intake to resolution. Your role will be pivotal in providing support to our legal team and ensuring that our clients receive the best possible medical care and attention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Intake and Evaluation: Conduct initial interviews with potential clients to gather information regarding their injuries and the circumstances of their cases. Assess the viability of cases and determine their alignment with our firm's practice areas.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their case, answering their inquiries, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Communication with Insurance Companies: Liaise with insurance companies on behalf of our clients and initiate claims. Send documents such as letters of representation and other necessary paperwork to insurance companies as required.
- Case Management: Manage the administrative aspects of cases, including maintaining case files, organizing documents and evidence, scheduling appointments, and ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Medical Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure clients receive appropriate medical treatment for their injuries. Coordinate appointments, arrange transportation if necessary, and facilitate communication between clients and medical professionals.
- Medical Records Management: Collect and organize medical records, bills, and other relevant documentation pertaining to clients' injuries and treatment. Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all case-related communications, activities, and expenses. Generate reports as necessary for internal use or client review.
- Demand Letter Preparation: Prepare demand letters on behalf of clients, detailing the extent of their injuries, medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages incurred as a result of the accident or injury. Work closely with legal counsel to compile necessary evidence and support the client's claim for compensation.
- Negotiation and Settlement: Participate in negotiations with insurance companies or opposing parties to secure favorable settlements for our clients, under the guidance of our attorneys.
- Coordination with Legal Team: Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal assistants to support the preparation of cases for litigation or settlement. Assist in reviewing settlement documents, and coordinating with expert witnesses or other professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a personal injury law firm or legal setting is required.
- Spanish and English Speaker is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and understanding towards clients' needs and concerns.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
